About URDC
Um Al-Zennar Relief and Development Center was founded in 2012 by late Bishop Mor Selwanos Boutros Al-Nemeh, and later carried on by His Eminence Archbishop Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khouri, Archbishop of Homs, Hama, Tartus, and Environs of the Syriac Orthodox Church. It is currently managed by Father Lukas Awad as its General Manager.
Our Goal
To improve the quality of life for members of the community in areas of health, education, culture, environment, and rights. To enhance their capacities and opportunities for engagement in positive change processes, responding to their needs and aspirations, especially for the most vulnerable families, empowering these families to live with dignity.
